Ms. Gladys Mendoza is currently the Director of Special Initiatives in the Office of the President at the National Alliance for Hispanic Health in Washington, DC where she has worked for 11 years. She served on the Board of Directors for the Rosemount Center in Washington, D.C from 2015-2020. Ms. Mendoza received her Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University o f Maryland. In her free time, she likes to read, travel, volunteer and spend time with family and friends. Ms. Mendoza is passionate about thriving and uplifting humanity- thus she has dedicated a greater part of her life to making a difference in low-income communities by serving children and families through relief efforts. In 2014, she was a Patient Care Volunteer at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. In 2017, she founded the Aspiring Latinx Achieving Success (ALAS) mentoring program at Richard Montgomery High School (Rockville, MD), a mentorship program that supported and guided first-generation high school students through the college application process.
