Toys for Joy 9 Online Fundraiser 2020

2020 was a very special year. Due to the pandemic we found our communities needing more financial help in getting food on the table. With the monetary donations we decided to partner with Family Service in Maryland. We were able to donate $100.00 Giant Food gift cards to 15 families in need and our close friend at VincoMasks donated masks for the kids in those families. We were also able to donate to the Ministry of Economic and Social Inclusion (MIES) who has set up a Child Development Center (CDI) in Chambo, Ecuador helping low income families with child care for children ages 1-3 years old. We donated 71 toys to the boys and girls of this town on Saturday, January 9, 2021. In El Salvador, we partnered with Manos Amigas to gift toys and host a party full of goodies and entertainment. We were also able to send hurricane relief to both Nicaragua and Honduras. We distributed food baskets in Las Salinas, Rivas, Nicaragua. The ⁣60 baskets distributed were filled with rice, sugar, cooking oil, soup, laundry detergent, dish soap, salt bags and toothpaste.⁣⁣⁣⁣ In Honduras we partnered with Proyecto Hope in assisting with logistics, meals and distribution of aid in Lima, Baracoa, Villa Nueva, el Callan, Rivera, and Planeta cities. Lastly, as usual, we were able to donate to Rosemount Center in DC by purchasing books for the kids.
